As a global healthcare company, Fresenius faced the challenge of creating a unified, transparent, and scalable job architecture for its international workforce. The existing structures were fragmented across legal units and heavily reliant on manual tools like Excel and PowerPoint, leading to inefficiencies and lack of standardization. The goal was to break down silos, centralize data management, and establish a shared understanding of roles, competencies, and compensation structures to support their upcoming Workday implementation.

  • Create a global job catalog serving as a central data source that intelligently manages profiles, role descriptions, and structures. The intuitive editor allowed users to build job family hierarchies, write and rewrite descriptions collaboratively, and organize profiles by segments and business units. Using the AI Features, Fresenius enhanced the Mercer Jobs to meet the company specifics.
  • Visually map employees to appropriate roles through an intuitive drag-and-drop interface. This included setting up user roles, review stages, and multi-language editing (English and localized versions).
  • Establish automated data processes, eliminating the need for scattered Excel files and enabling direct use of verified data in HCM systems like Oracle and Workday.
  • Enable real-time global collaboration, with the platform being accessible 24/7, allowing teams around the world to contribute simultaneously.
  • Use verified templates and libraries, including a standard job library, global grading alignments (e.g., P3, P4, P5 levels), and smart content services that adapt to organizational needs.
